Football therapy sessions are:
- Mixed ability – respect other peoples abilities (ability doesn’t matter at our sessions!) & give everyone an equal opportunity to be on the ball
- About having fun – laughter is the most important thing
- Look after each other physically and mentally – check in on each other, ask how someone is doing & no aggressive / slide tackling
- Give people support, time & an environment to develop (you’re allowed to make mistakes!). Some people at sessions haven’t played much before.
- We only do positive – focus on praising everyone throughout the session
If during the session you encounter undesirable behaviour, please report it to one of our volunteers so we can help or [email protected]
